I'm neglecting my art history seminar lecture because I can't focus. This thing has taken up all my attention.

S. O. P. A. - Stop Online Piracy Act.

Piracy is definitely a huge concern, most definitely. And I can empathize with the idea that jobs are in trouble because of the amount of tax money gone to the internet. I can understand downloading music being a huge issue, yes; that's why I buy all albums to support the artists.

But what the government's trying to pass isn't the way to do it. I don't believe it to be so. I've read through some articles and I'm not content with what they're trying to do. Companies like Google, Facebook, and Yahoo will be crippled, and sites with intellectual info will be targeted. DeviantArt could be targeted for fanart, fanfiction.net for... well, fanfiction... To me, it's a violation of the freedom of speech. You may say that, since you don't live in the US or Canada, it won't effect you, but the Internet Giants ARE stationed here, so it does in fact effect the entire world wide web.

Okay! So.

I know I haven't been doing much on here, and since it's the summer, you'd think I'd update more right? Well, no. I'm going away to Poland for a month again. Before I go into that, I guess I should just touch on some stuff.

First point, the last stretch of the school year was very fast, very stressful, and yet so very fun. I actually felt exhilarated. I mean, I worked hard and got marks I'm satisfied with, but at the same time, I wasn't consumed by my work and I enjoyed goofing off with my friends. Man, ditching half the school day to go to the beach was great~ But no worries, I didn't technically skip a class, since it was online ;)

In the end, I guess I have a 90 mark average. My highest mark is Creative Writing with a 94, which I'm very pleased with. Maybe she really liked my stories and writing style? She also mentioned how much of a great artist I was, even in my last report, so I may have made a great first impression. Who knows? All in all, I loved that class. I got a lower grade in French though... dropped 2% from Midterm. But that's okay... I just have to work harder, study more in university. My teacher had the worst of luck though, because his dad died two days before the exam. He wasn't there for us to do the spoken testing... poor guy. I hope he and his family are okay. Lastly, my peer tutoring mark is a 92, which I'm also pleased about. The History class I was placed in was so fun; the kids were great, the teacher was hilarious, and I just had a great time. Some days I would feel really nervous, speaking out so loudly... I dunno, I'm very reserved and I don't like yelling at people I guess, lol. But teaching and helping others really is a pleasure. That may be a future career possibility.

Second point is concerning the mural I helped create. If you've seen it, thank you! I can't stop thinking about the time I spent on it... since late February! Can you believe it? More than 70 hours of my free time. The left side, and some of the right. The three other girls did so well on it too, it was nice working with them :3 This was something else I thought I'd do in the future; I even made fliers, for people interested in murals. I would love to do big commissions like that :heart: There's something about painting illustrations on the wall that makes me feel all fuzzy, sorry for sounding corny. :la:

But... there's always something that goes downhill. You see, my dog Sunia, she had pretty much hit rock bottom. She was already sick and impaired, but she was still, you know, running around, snuggling, happy. She had skin tumors, arthritis, blindness and deafness, but she was still okay. But in the last couple of months, she had hurt her leg really badly, and it didn't heal. She was hopping around on three legs. She got used to it after a while, but then she wouldn't even leave her bed anymore, so... we had to put her down the day after my graduation.

I never cried so hard, really. I cried a little at the thought of putting her down, and I thought I would be ready for the day we would take her, but I wasn't. I was worried that she would protest, that she still wanted to live, but how would we know? I held on to her the whole time, before and after her sedation, and during the overdose. She wasn't shaking at all when we took her to the vet... so I think she knew that she was going to die, and she was okay with it. But I just can't stop hating dog euthanasia. I feel like I was the one that killed her. It gets me so freaking teary-eyed. I know it was the only way, and that she's free of pain now, but it just frustrates me...

We brought her home and buried her in the backyard. We were told by family friends that there might be trouble, because you need government permission to do it, but we wouldn't have her cremated. She wouldn't spread disease when she wasn't carrying anything... anyway, after that, I went into my room and stayed there for the rest of the day. Skipped dinner and slept for around 12 hours. After that, I guess I couldn't cry anymore.

I make an effort to visit her grave now and again, and I'll visit her tomorrow before we leave. I need to make a proper headstone for her, and buy her flowers. We might find a little statue for her, but who knows. I'm glad we still talk about her, look back at the happy times we spent with her. It still hurts, and I miss her (I catch myself going through the house and checking on her sometimes, when she's not in her bed anymore), but I feel like she's happy, and that's all that matters. My mom asked me if I thought we should get another dog, and I replied that maybe a long time from now, and a different breed. I don't want to replace Sunia. She has a very special place in my heart. :heart:

Sorry for the very long journal. Just wanted to write down everything before I leave :) I won't be back until August 11th, so I wish you all a great first-half of summer! Please don't destroy my inbox too badly X'D

Ready Steady, can't hold me back...
Ready Steady, give me good luck...
Ready Steady, never look back...
LET'S GET STARTED, READY STEADY GOOOO~

He's done the first part, and I'm not sure if he plans on interpreting it in all its entirety, but please take a look if you're interested. I've yet to decipher what my mind is trying to tell me, but yeah~

As for my other watchers who watch me for my regular material, I'm sorry for my inactiveness! My inbox is overflowing, as usual. At 500+ currently. I'm not a very good deviant D:
But I promise you, I acknowledge all of your hard and creative work. I pass through your deviations from time to time, and even though I don't leave a comment, I appreciate your effort and skill. I'm not saying that as an excuse for me to refrain from commenting either. YOU GUYS ARE FREAKING AWESOME. There's a reason I watch you, remember that. There's a reason why your watchers watch you!

As for regular life, I suppose everything's well. My midterms came in, and I'm on the edge of this one. This semester's just not as exciting as the first.

Peer tutoring is okay. The material you have to cover online is nothing extraordinary, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I love their deadlines though! Gives me about two months' notice! :) As for the actual work, I'm placed with a Grade 10 History class. The kids have short attention spans, and even shorter motivational gauzes, but they're good kids. They talk back occasionally but they get to work when they need to.

French is okay; extremely hard, but as long as I pay attention and do my homework, I'm fine. I really have to start speaking it though. Reading and writing doesn't work alone. I have to start practicing my oral presentation soonANDOHSHIAT I was supposed to write a dialogue this weekend!! *facepalm* I just realized this while I was writing mid-sentence .__.' Well, besides that, the class is really fun. My teacher is a really witty guy XD

I didn't know that I would be more concerned with Creative Writing though. Believe me, it's a great class. I got a lot of writing done in there. It concerns more with my mark; it's decent, but not exactly my standard. It also taunts me... I know it's not true, but it's as if it's mocking my writing skills. To make matters worse, I feel cheated. Someone else in the class is succeeding in the 90s and plans to become a novelist, and when I read her material... I was expecting a much higher level of creativity and skill. I don't know if I was reading it subjectively, but I was shocked. I've seen her speak with the teacher a lot on her own time, so I'm starting to believe she's a brown-noser. I'm dismayed with this.

But what dismays me even more though is my reaction to this; I'm regarding her with scorn. I mean, whatever floats her boat, right? Should I feel cheated? I guess I could learn something from this... it really DOES depend on who you know, as unfair as it is. It's just I'm taking it much too personally. I feel like my writing is worth crap, and it could never be published. Gaaah, it's a stupid feeling. At least I have my art... at least I have some valid competition that play the game right.

But that's that. Prom's coming up, which I'm excited for. I'll try and get a decent picture of my dress soon. Then after that, I'll be going to Canada's Wonderland. Yess! You don't know how long I've wanted to go on Behemoth! Largest rollercoaster in Canada, here I come!

I hope all of you are doing well. :heart: I hope to talk to you all soon, hopefully as I comment on your works. :D

Haha, you see what I did there? 8D *disturbed with Disturbed*

Beware... long journal ahead. School, birthday,... and another thing.

Well, the last time I really wrote something down was at the start of semester one, and that was a loooong time ago. Tomorrow marks my last exam, and then I have two days off. Perhaps I'll be able to catch up on my inbox during that time!! I'll need the distraction.

It was a successful semester, if I do say so myself.

Religion through Art was more of a test/crash course, since I was in its first class ever. It was okay, just more reading and memorizing than I thought it would be. Maybe the method will be changed, who knows. Don't get me wrong, religion is one of my favourite subjects (not because it's easy. I often take to heart the lessons I'm given), it's just, when it comes to society, it is a VERY confusing and conflicting subject. There were things I believed and didn't believe, and there was always someone who thought differently. That's okay most of the time, but sometimes it only starts hate and doesn't really solve anything. What's most difficult is the fact I feel empathetic with both sides of arguments, so I can never have a firm opinion.

The culminating task was artistic though, which I'm glad for. I'll upload that sometime soon, and go into more detail. All I can say now is that I was assigned to paint something for a charity, and I hope they'll accept it ^^

Now, for Visual Arts. Probably my second-easiest. Sure, it was full of art history and memorization, but I had no trouble with that :) I have to say I got a lot of practice with paints!! I'll upload my pride and joys soon! Aw man, I can't wait to do that. I had to pretty much stick to an initial proposal, which mine was bridging fantasy with reality. "Landscapes... my imagination has no boundary." I'll be using the drawings and paintings in my interview with university, so hopefully that works out.

English... oh man, English. I have mixed feelings for that class. I am NOT an essay writer! I AM NOT! D: That component of the course killed me. I just can't wait for next semester, when I have Writer's Craft. I'll have SOOO much more freedom! Luckily, the exam for English wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be, but I'm definitely not going to get a 90% on it. My teacher is a ruthless editor, and if he finds one punctuation error, he was destroy it o.o

Lastly, Tech class, my easiest one. Hehe, it was a very chill class. I got all my work done at my own pace, everything done on time, and I could listen to music the whole time ^^ (iPods are usually prohibited during class hours, and I know a good music site that passes their site-blocking X3). I made an animation, which I'm proud of, considering it's my first. I'll try and upload that too, if it works. That class' exam is my last one, which is tomorrow.

And after that, everything will be done. Awesome, right?

Next semester I have French, Writer's Craft, and Peer Tutoring. The first two I'm excited for (French= I'm good at it and have a good [but scary] teacher guaranteed; Writer's Craft... BECAUSE IT'S WRITER'S CRAFT), and the last I'm not quite sure what to expect. I hope I get a subject I like, or a subject I know well, or a class that's not full of pricks. XD Then of course, I have spare sixth period, so I can visit my friends in their classroom, which is Drama. Their teacher is chill, or so I hear.

Now that school-stuff's done, THANK YOU ALL FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES AND GIFTS. It certainly made my day, and remains memorable for my 18th birthday ^^ (OMG18WTEFFFFFFF)

:bulletred: Thank you to :iconvxepher: for the lovely profile of Shira: [link] I LOVE it!
:bulletblue: And thank you to :iconameko-shadowsong: for a very cool painting of Nakoto, on occassion of my birthday and a successful NaNoWriMo: [link] I hope your hand is okay :)

I'm glad that my party was wonderful, too. I had pretty much all my friends over, just being... friends! We had some wine out and someone brought some gin, and although we're underage, it was great. I don't think anyone was piss-drunk though, which was something I was anticipating before the party, and I'm glad no one was. I also loved the gifts I received; many of them were extremely thoughtful and I love them. I got a little plush toy of Gizmo (from Gremlins XD), a Michaelangelo art book, Akira Volume 1 (it's epic! I loved the movie, but manga always appeals to me more :)), a painting, some discount cards, cookies (I LOVE COOKIES), some drawings, and some really, REALLY thoughtful birthday cards. They'll be safe in my special treasure box for years to come ^^ After that, we watched Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and everything was good. Now for the other thing.

Now, I've been avoiding this subject because... well, it only happened recently, and I don't know what to do. See... I actually AM sick with lovesickness, and a severe one at that. I couldn't get to sleep until the early morning hours the last two nights, this morning I felt like throwing up, I had little appetite but my hunger was ravenous, and... and I can't stop thinking about him. With me, if I see a cute guy, I have a 'short-term interest' and I never talk to them, but with this, I feel like I'm obsessed! And the thing that kills me is that I think he likes me back, but I'm not sure for sure. He reaches and holds my hand, and I don't think he's the type to do that to everyone. Then, I don't do that with any of my other guy friends without them or me bursting out laughing like it's some intimate joke. With him, it's just right. It's so small of a thing, but I've never had anything like this happen before.

I've met him far earlier than now, but I never really talked to him. It was only during exams that I got to spend time with him, and (by God) I think I've... I can't even type it out. It can't be. That has to develop over time, doesn't it? This cluster of conflicting emotions is driving me insane. Isn't this supposed to make you feel good? I'm in pain. Maybe I'm overreacting, and it's not what I think it is, but...

I'll have to see to it tomorrow or something. We're staying behind at school so that we can all build a snowman and take a walk in the forest again. I hope it's a fitting last day of Semester 1.

Well, I'm glad I was able to get everything off my chest. How is everyone? I missed talking with you guys. I'll try getting to your deviations soon. :)

Love you,

~Vixen

I'll be watching Lord of the Rings soon, and I'm inspired to read the books, but not today...

Hey people, sorry I haven't done anything productive, but I swear I'm doing SOMETHING. School related. Well, I haven't quite told you about my classes, so I'll tell you.

Religion through Art is practically the normal course but with art assignments involved. I quite enjoy it X3 But that's like, two of my best subjects mashed together. I hope I'll be able to do well~ It's full of interesting things that makes you think. Well, at least for me. There was this one article about Mother Teresa that I found really interesting. It was about spiritual darkness and doubt, and I can empathize with that to an extent.

After that I have the normal Art university course, and I'm enjoying that as well. Our proposal is a series of paintings with a similar theme through the whole thing, and I'll be doing mythological beasts! Man, I haven't seen anyyyyyy in our school gallery. We need dragons! XD Anyway, we're also encouraged to think up an idea for a mural for the school, and I hope I can leave a mark on the school before I leave.

English... this is the class I had trouble with for some reason. I'm usually a 90 student in that subject, but my latest test, my average was 78. But that was the short story unit I suppose... I was never good at short stories. Today we started The Kite Runner, and I'm interested in it so far. Oh, and I'm working on a Storyboard for next Friday, and I'm planning to draw all of them. I'll upload them up here once it gets marked ^^

Lastly, we have Communication Technology. That course is really relaxed, and I have everything practically done. A newspaper article, a graphic shirt design (I actually have four to choose from already, I was having too much fun), and a cereal box. I'll upload some stuff once they get marked as well.

And that's it. Everything's just busy busy busy. I still have a lot of things to look at in my inbox, and I'm sorry if I haven't gotten to them yet >.O I'll try to catch up!!

Lastly, I want to bring to your attention of a deviant in need [link]
I know a lot of you can't buy anything, but at least spread the word :(

And with that, I take my leave.

Hm. Not bad. BEWARD LONG JOURNAL

Hi there! It's been a while since I wrote last. That was July 9th.  I guess I should summarize the summer.

Well, my kiribian's past, and no one caught it. It's a pity, but oh well.

I usually have to describe an event right after for the description to be any good, but I'll try my best. The summer wasn't all too exciting, since I wasn't able to go anywhere far, but I had fun all the same! I wasn't able to go to Poland this time because of the floods threatening an epidemic or something; if I went, there'd be a chance I wouldn't be able to come back to Canada on time for school or something. I really wanted to see my relatives again. But my mom told me that my grandmother was going to sell her apartment and come over here! I hope she can! She's just so sad and lonely all the time, she needs to be here with us.

I wasn't able to go with my dad to the States, but that's alright. We were having a little money troubles, what with my dad's boss not paying when he's supposed to, so my parents decided that my brother and I would stay home. I think the situation's better now, but we're not going off with buying random luxuries.

But enough of the couldn'ts. I had lots of fun all the same!

I went to Sunfest this year with a couple of friends, but since we came too early, we ended up going to see a movie at a cheap mall. The movie was funny... well, when we came back to Sunfest, it was alive with song and dance. Sadly, it was time to go home... so I wasn't able to enjoy it fully, but I didn't have too much money to spend anyway.

My friend entrusted me to plan a water balloon ambush with her sometime in the end of July I think. I went to her house —which is on the outskirts of town—, and we filled water balloons and hid them in her backyard. Some weren't really that conspicuous, but when one of our unsuspecting friends discovered things, we unleashed the fury! :XD: In all reality, there weren't any sides. We were just picking balloons up and checking them at each other. Some wouldn't explode too easily, so some of us were pelted~

Then it started to storm! It was so fun! Since we were already wet, we went out to this huge area behind her house. It consisted of two baseball fields, space inbetween, a tennis court, and a park. I swear, I was not cold, not for a second. It stopped raining then, so we returned back, and we dried off.

When the skies darkened, we decided to play Man Locator, and split into teams :3 We didn't establish rules the first time, though... and that ended up with the hiding team wandering too far, and one of them falling into a ditch and scratching up her knees really bad. >.O Since we couldn't find them for a while, we were convinced it was a setting for a horror movie moment, so one of my other friends found a baseball bat. We were protected. XD

After that, we started a bonfire, ate junkfood and roasted marshmellows, and... yeah! That was a successful night ^^

With the same friend, a few weeks later, we all decided to go to her cottage about 2 hours away. Lots of stuff happened but I guess I'll just sum it up in a couple words.

:bulletblack:The guys drank alcohol with other guys, and one of those stranger guys wandered into our cottage.
:bulletblack:The beach was dirty, had lots and LOTS of sharp, bastard rocks, but AWESOME waves on the last day.
:bulletblack:Dogpiles.
:bulletblack:Some drama, but that resolved quickly.
:bulletblack:Poker and Crazy Eights. Plus some Bohemian Rhapsody.
:bulletblack:Cookies.
:bulletblack:Nature hikes, in the day and in the night. With a Ukulele.

But BEFORE that, I went and saw Scott Pilgrim vs. the World with my best friend. I was able to catch up with him, and the movie was great. Bliss~~

Then a couple of days after the cottage, me and two others went and got some sushi. :heart:

All in all, it was a successful summer. I didn't find a job, but I don't think I wanted one for the summer. Sooo I'll find one to work on the weekends ^^

TOMORROW. SCHOOL STARTS FOR ME.

Honestly, it doesn't feel like it's my last year of highschool. It's a troubling thought, but I feel cool about it. Grade 12... ^^ I wonder what'll happen this year! I've got great classes, and I hope I have lunch with my friends.

I have Religion through Art, Visual Arts, English, and Communication Tech. this semester. It looks easy, don't you think? X3

This journal is long enough I think. I hope you all had a nice summer!

Vix :heart:

P.S. Now I have some tags to give you X'D

Tagged by :iconmagic-fan:

1. What does your DeviantArt name mean and why?

2. What fandom were you obsessed with when you joined and what are you into now?
Yu-Gi-Oh!
Now I'm into Fullmetal Alchemist and Storm Hawks. But I sometimes go back to drawing in YGO style when it calls for it ;)

3. How many watchers do you have now?
Curses! You're making me check? >.O
65. But most of them are inactive watchers. :P

4. Name 3 of your favorite artists on DA.
:iconprecious-destiny: :iconc-c-corone: and :iconemilynguyenart:

Sometimes. I think I've only done so once.

7. What is your most popular submission?

It used to be Thief King Bakura - Touzokuou, but now it's Don't Use it..., much thanks to Chuggaaconroy. XD

I hardly watch T.V., but the only times I've turned it on recently was to watch Storm Hawks :heart: Such a kickass kid's show!

12. What's your favorite type of music?
Hard rock, metal, and instrumentals dominate my playlist. You'll also find some random Disney songs too. X3

Mac. I have not experienced this evil people speak of. If you ask me, they're easy to control if you know how to control it. :)

14. Anime or Manga?
Like books being better than movies, mangas are better than animes, with the exception of some cases. I like reading the mangas at my own pace, even though watching an anime is much easier.

15. Coke or Pepsi?
I've never tasted the difference... but I've had more Coke than Pepsi, so~ Coke.

Buttered, but I'm trying to stay away from popcorn in general >.O

34. Have you skipped school?

35. Have you been on a plane?

55. What is the most annoying thing people ask you?
I don't get annoyed by questions asked of me. I get annoyed when other students ask teachers questions that a child with common sense could answer though. It's wasting time, and it's wasting MY time. If I wasn't there to learn, why would I be there, hm?

Dear manager-ken:

I don't really know how to tell you this, but you're a pervert. I think I realized it that night at the mental hospital and I saw you sit on my Kid Rock collection. I'm sure you're shamed enough to understand that I did a sex change. I'm returning the pictures from LA to you, but I'll keep my virginity as a memory. You should also know that I will tell the authorities about your eggplant fetishism.

Go burn,

Well technically, this is the second day of my vacation. For the first I just pretty much slept~ It was a righteous feeling. Righteous indeed :)

For the most part, my school is filled with shitheads. :XD:
I can't believe those kids are human, really. Major foodfights make me sad, because people who are poor and hungry could have that, but instead it's wasted on our dirty ground. Truthfully, foodfights happen often and you can't really change people's minds about it. But what makes me so disbelieving is the other nasty stuff they did. Luckily I wasn't present at any of this, but people were bringing eggs, filling water guns with piss and bleach, some fat kids were running in their underwear, water fights (I even saw one wearing a poncho... lol), cricket bombs (with live crickets!) and lastly, throwing live hamsters. :O_o:
Have people no common sense or respect anymore? It makes me want to stab somebody and then at the same time laugh at their stupidity until I die.
That's the majority of what they did. There's probably more that happened that day but I'd rather not think about it. ;P People argue that it's funny, but I just reply that, in that case, it's a rather crappy sense of humour >v>'

But moving on, with exams, they weren't too hard. I think French was the most difficult, since I forgot how to write certain translations, and maybe I misheard some of the dictation, but that's okay, I'm not too worried. I'll have next year to polish it again. English was a rather interesting story with only 3 questions. And Visual Arts was probably easier than our regular tests :D

With friends, I'm happy to say that the problems are resolved~ My two friends are talking again. I hung out with the one who was feeling replaced and talked to her about it, trying to deconstruct the situation and yet protect my other friend at the same time. I also kept asking her questions that needed thinking over, so in the end she apologized over Facebook. If you can't do it face-to-face, do it another way. In the end we all hung out together yesterday :3

Sunfest is in a little more than a week. I'm excited :la: I wonder what they'll have this year, and hopefully everyone can come.

Tomorrow's Canada Day, so there's gonna be a lot of fireworks. :) Luckily I live beside the hill that they're shooting them off from, so I have front-row seats. It's also my bro and his girlfriend's one-year anniversary; ain't that cute? Asking her out on Canada Day X3

I've got some drawings waiting to be coloured, but I don't have the patience right now to sit still and colour it. I'll do so eventually. Most of the time I've been writing or playing a Zelda Marathon. I finished Majora's Mask and Windwaker, and I'm currently on Ocarina of Time. Maybe I'll have some fanart after this?

I discovered a manga that's both awesome and helpful to read! It's called Bakuman, and it's about two kids who want to become mangaka, which is basically what my highest dream is. Maybe I'll learn some of the technical stuff, like manuscripts and names (that's what they call storyboards) and editors and stuff. :)

.........................................GREED!!!!!! D:

Love you!

As bad as leg cramps...

Journal Entry: Sun Jun 20, 2010, 7:42 PM

I was struggling to think of a title when I suddenly got a leg cramp. The good things in the bad; ain't they beautiful??

Well then. It's been a long time since I updated last. Lots of stuff's been on my mind lately, like school, friends, and just ideas passing by through my head, then disappearing. It's probably because I'm having trouble getting them down, and when I get around to doing it, the gusto's gone. XD

On the artistic front, there's only been a few good works I guess. The majority's been in my actual Art class, in which I'm proud of my ISP. When I get it back I'll get around to taking a picture of it, since it's acrylics on canvas. But the watercolours and stuff, I may consider trying the scan them, depending if they fit :3

On the friend-istic side (I'm trying to keep the trend here, can you tell?), it's on a thin line. Friends are at each other's throats, and I don't know what to think of it. I mean, some of the reasonings I don't understand. Currently there are two situations, but one's dying while the other's growing. The growing one, it befuddles my mind. If you're going to be throwing away your friendship without talking about it, was it even a friendship to begin with? Where's the logic in that? And my situation is almost exactly identical; my best friend hardly talks to me anymore, but rather talks with another friend of mine. But I've already learned something from this before. It's happened before. He is NOT replacing me, he told me this clearly. I feel as if he's having problems at home, and —as usual with him— he doesn't tell me anything in order to 'protect' me. That's very sweet of him but I HATE not knowing anything, and even more, not being able to help.

But I digress. The fight currently between two of my friends is incomprehensible. I really want to help but what can I do either than nag at them? Decisions...

School, surprisingly, seems the brightest out of all of that. It's coming to the end, and I'm actually excited upon finishing my exams. I feel like I know the stuff well. Don't get me wrong, I'll definitely study, but I'm pretty confident :D And I'm probably more excited on the fact summer's only a few days away.

I'll be looking for a summer job, going to Sunfest and hopefully Wildwood (that resort I always go to for a week), work on my manga and watch lots of anime 8D I bought ALL of the Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles episodes, and I got my brother hooked. I'll also be watching Soul Eater; I've heard lots of good things about it.

And the latest FMA: Brotherhood episode made me cry. DDDDDD: ALPHONSE!! And Greed was so cute it made me cry... poor Greed :c

That's it for me. Sorry for the long journal. It makes up for the absence. X'D

Later!

Gotta love French Class. :3

Hi. Been a while. How's everybody doing? I hope well :D

I've been pretty good, but as usual there are those petty dramas to deal with. I won't go into that though. Aside from that I've been rather productive and multi-tasking my way through things.

All throughout April I managed to get 100 pages for my manga. At the start, I thought that I'd be able to get through my whole story, but then I realized that, halfway through the month, a typical manga volume is about 150. SO, I've just been stuck with the beginning the whole time. X'D BUT at least I reached 100, and it's better than nothing. It was still fun to use the program, and I'm not going to throw it away just because the challenge is over. Hopefully I can work on it through the rest of the year. :)

I got my midterm not too long ago, and I'm happy that my average is a 92 :3 That's much thanks to my Media Arts class, since I'm getting a 97 in there, so it's all good. Currently now though school's asking for more of my time, so art on here may be as few as it was in April. So on the artistic front, I'm not doing too much. I need to get onto a birthday present for ~SilentSoulDeathSpoon though, so I hope to get that in by May 5th. I also started some brown-conté drawings for my mother, since I'm waaay late with her birthday presents.

That reminds me that my Elemental Hour drawing is going to be in the art show at University of Western Ontario. Excited! I wonder what great art they'll have this year :D

Anyway, a little update and headsup for you people, so I don't come off as too surprising. Then again, I'm very predictable, so disregard the last statement XD

Later!

EDIT.

Bringing on a solemn note...

Lech Kaczynski, President of Poland, died yesterday morning. I was at a sleepover at the time, so when I came home I found my parents under the weather. At first I didn't know what to say, since I didn't pay attention to Poland's political affairs, but now feel remorseful, because from what I've read of him, he was a good and caring leader. He, his wife, and many other leaders died in a car crash flying to Russia to visit Katyn, where Russians killed over 20 000 Polish POWs in WWII.  People are starting to think it a conspiracy, but sincerely I don't feel this is the appropriate time to point fingers. Poland's grieving and giving him a good sendoff, and for that I'm glad.
RIP Lech and Maria Kaczynski, and others.

END EDIT.

Lookie, it's April. 8D

Somebody played a cruel joke on me on the 1st. Don't joke about some sort of knee-cancer, okay? X'DDD

Well, just some updates I suppose, since the month brings about new things. School's being decent, but I've got some projects to get over with, some fun, some nerve-wracking. I'll live~ As for art, I hope to get more done, but during April I'll be juggling with a couple of things, such as ScriptFrenzy.

Since, as most of your know, I've been thinking about making a manga, I've decided to join ScriptFrenzy, much like NaNoWriMo but within my range X'DD I have to write 100 pages of script in the month of April. Currently I've got 9 pages done, and by the end of today I hope to get to fifteen. The format of this is really easy though; you can make the pages as small or big as you like. Like, one page could only be a splash page (a picture taking up the whole thing) and still count as a page. :) But I'll try my best to keep it real and imagine myself reading through the manga, as if it'll make things easier. I hope this doesn't crash and burn like my other passionate ideas . OTL

I just went crazy and hunted down most of the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood OSTs, and I'm listening to it constantly. I swear, when I get to NeoTokyo or get a chance to buy the CDs online, I WILL. They are so worth owning!! :heart: :heart: The main theme brings me to tears, it's so epic. :D (I'm weird like that. If I find a song in an anime that I adore, I'll either search for it relentlessly or listen to that part of the episode over and over, not even caring what the characters are saying. Even sometimes I'll yell at them for talking so loud. 8D [not really but seriously]). Definitely worth the effort, they're really inspiring. I wanna get my license just so I can go downtown to the anime store and inquire for it. :3

There's my little journal. X3 So as a little overview, I'm still brimming with inspiration and hope to get art down, but I won't update so much seeing as I'm taking part in a script-writing period and school might chew my butt about something. :D

Hope you guys have a fantastic month! (or until I write a journal again). :heart:

Ok. Here's the thing.
I'm offering free sketches for 3 random persons who comments on this journal. If you do this, you have to offer the same thing in your own journal, and send me a link so I can see it. That's the deal.

Anyone know that song? :3

I've been real fidgety today, Sunday, of all days, and I don't wanna do homework or study currently. Hell, that's procrastination for you. Despite that, I usually get my own things done, like graphic art or any watercolours I've been meaning to get done. Additionally, even things I don't normally do, like plushies. I've already sewn Sephiroth's head; I just need his body, cloths and hair. :XD:

The weeks have been calm, thankfully. No such things as friend turmoil, at least right now. There are things I've yet to get straight and clear, but that will come in time. Although it being calm for me now, I have to acknowledge that in some other places of the world suffer from earthquakes, such as Haiti and Chile. For Chile,  I hope help comes swiftly. I thought it was crazy that the earthquake was so huge it shifted the Earth's axis a little! Talk about scary. Though the result was simply the days being 2-something microsecond shorter.

In recent recent news, it was :iconmichael-christopher:'s birthday yesterday, 17. :3 Epic party!! Man, I never had so much fun.

And you're looking at a professional at Twister ;) :trophy: Oh yeah. And we also played spin the— *shot*

What happens at Mike's party stays at Mike's party. :P

:XD:

March Break's in a week, and I can't wait! Lots of more time to sleep and create art for all of you 8D

P.S. Watchers who buy commissions!! Hear me out! And people who aren't, but know a few commissioners, please spread the word for me?

:iconc-c-corone: needs money, and it would greatly appreciated! She is an AWESOME artist, and if you're interested in dark/morbid/elegant pics, she's the one to go to. :)
Also, :iconhikitsuriookami: is also looking to do commissions, so go to hers and see what you like ;D

P.P.S It looks like there's a brain in my soup. Seriously. But it's delicious XD

It's concerning my collections of characters. You know, Yohanna, Xzylec, Shira and Gav so far... now I'm at a little dilemma concerning the main villain. If anyone here knows Bleach, you know Aizen, right? When he shows himself after he faked his death in the Soul Society arc?

[link]

That hairstyle is almost EXACTLY how I imagine my villain. Clean and smoothed back. But mine I know has silver hair. I don't know what to do! I can't get that hairstyle out of my head. The single lock up front and the curl at the end of his hair I can deal without and improvise, but I can't help but think I'd stolen something. I love the square-hairline and perhaps that slight sideburn. I haven't drawn anything mind, not yet; I'm still trying to figure it out. Any suggestions? What do you think; if he seems similar to Aizen in terms of hairstyle and positioning, would that be considered stealing?

Aside from that.

French... kinda went well? I kinda choked and forgot what I was going to say. My classmates loved my powerpoint presentation but dunno if that would help cover up my nervous freezing...

But that was yesterday, and as reward for my stress, today turned out to be a snow day :D :heart:

Yay three-day weekend!! I've done all the homework I was supposed to have for today so I don't have any for the weekend. Ace!

How are all of you?

Well then. This semester's a little more troublesome than I thought it'd be.

Media Arts and Visual Arts are going as awesome as it usually is. Fully completing art and goofing off is my idea of a class! But French and English, those are asking more than I thought they would. They're possible, granted, but some tedious work, mostly in English. Good think I have hardly that much work in the Arts, because French requires A LOT. This week coming up is just filled to the brim with testings and presentations in French. I'm going to have such a week every month D: I've yet to write up my oral presentation and make a powerpoint, and I'm presenting Thursday. At least I can write about my dog Sunia; she's so cute, I think I'll enjoy writing and speaking about her in French.

Um, update with my best friend. He's alright, and we're talking again, at least somewhat. He sorta, changed lunches, so I only see him in the morning... he's still yet to tell me what happened that night, but I'll wait until we can get together one way or another.

Other friends, however, it's a little tricky. I'm still trying to figure out the difference between the real ones and the ones who are just fun to hang around with and hang out with me for the same reason. Granted, they often tell me their problems, but... I just get this vibe that something else runs in their mind when they say they're being truthful about something. Whether or not they believe what they say about me (sometimes there are those moments when they praise me and I don't believe them. Or tell me they love me constantly. The word can always be spoken but never meant, you know?). I'm not saying that everyone should tell me the truth all the time, that I have to know EVERYTHING, but saying something to my face, then acting and saying something totally the opposite irritates me.

Rather interesting news, my mother bought me a corset. Nothing fancy, but I like it. Though I have to be careful with it; I don't wanna look like Cathie Jung. That just looks unnatural. And as if a corset makes you skinnier if you wear it. She wore on for about twenty years I think. X'D

Good news, I heard that the women at the place me and my mom work out say that I look like I've lost weight. Technically not, since I've been the same weight since I started. I've been struggling with 150 pounds, often weighing a little more. I think I've only weight 149 once since August, and at that time I was ecstatic, despite being only one pound down. It was probably just seeing the 4. Anyway, I know it not to be the weight, but the toning; we all know muscle weighs more than fat. I've still got a good deal of fat left, but my hips are looking nice and I may be developing some abs. :XD: I'll get weight checked at Curves on Monday.

On the artistic front, whenever I've procrastinated with work (which happened almost every day), I sketched something quick on MangaStudio. ;) So as soon as next week's over, or March Break comes along, I'm sure I'll start colouring those in.

Watched all the Harry Potter movies with my bro for that last week and a half. Man it's so nostalgic!

ANNNND. I just got word that my parents are considering buying a cellphone for me. I don't need it for calling per-say, unless of emergencies at home, but I've always wanted to text people. It just looks so much fun XD And I'd like at least a Disturbed song as my ringtone. >D

Man, this is a looong journal. Sorry if you read this far!!

That's it for you lovely little things. I'll write another update when I've got the time. :3

I know you don't care, but I'm announcing my return anyway, and all the updates, art-related and all. :iconikilleditplz:

We bought a whole new router to replace the one that was fried, and as it seems, you buy what you get; we bought the most expensive one, opposed to the original being the cheapest, and now this one works far better, for both laptops. :D We've decided to buy a new desktop computer in the future, but that will be the subject as of yet.

Exams are done and over with. Religion was a breeze, Chemistry was easier than it was cracked up to be (but I had a cheat sheet to help me X3), no exam for Tech, and Math... well, I guess I knew some of my stuff but it was apparent I should've studied harder. Well, at least my teacher's nice, hopefully she won't grade me too severely...

My best friend had some kind of skirmish at home and left the house, and no one knew where he was. That scared me to no end, had me worried senseless, and me and my dad, along with another friend and her mom, looked for him via driving. He returned home though. That's a relief, but things are still bothering me that I won't disclose here. I mean... that was utterly stupid and irresponsible, and I don't think any reason could justify what happened and how he reacted to it (obviously more things happened other than running out of the house, but as I said, I'll say no more). But what can you do, really.

I'm seventeen now. Doesn't feel different, but that's usually the case. I got some awesome shirts, chocolate, a book on calligraphy, a little dragon figurine (figurines are the shit! Especially dragon ones! :D), socks, bracelets and awesome hand-made gifts that I really felt the effort put into. Also, I got a huge present from my uncle and aunt from Indianapolis; it's a type of printer that you use to paste illustrations and designs on glass, wood, prints, and graphic t-shirts. Wow. I can't wait to try it out. Anyway, the party I held was pretty crazy... 16 year olds get pretty hyper, it drains you. XD

ART STUFF? While the internet was out I played around on MangaStudio and Photoshop. I'll put pictures up in due time. One of which is a new design for Shira in a story I've got in mind for a manga. :XD: That version is not a OC but an anti-hero, a type of antagonist. Also, I'm doodling designs in some sketchebooks and hope they get me somewhere.

I guess that's it though. I've got my internet back, and I feel free. My inbox has been cleared, finally (was over 70). I didn't get a chance to comment on everything, so I'm sorry if I didn't get to you. I'll start commenting on the more recent ones. :) And now I bid you adieu until next time!

My brother fried the router when he tried to fix his internet. He managed to get it on his laptop, but in exchange he destroyed MY internet.

Soo, yeah. Now I have no excuse to procrastinate on studying. Hrr. I'm on my bro's lappy, but it's so damn WEIRD compared to my Mac. I suppose PCs aren't for me anymore :XD: I'm afraid that I might not be able to get to all of your deviations when I return (I've already got over 20, and in only one day)

Until we buy a new router, consider me dead. :3

BUT MORE PEPPY NEWS, here's a rather straight-forward contest for you! :D [link]

It's a colouring contest, so no insecurities from any of you, you've got no excuse. You can do it! :iconimhappyplz: Deadline is Feburary 20th!

Anyway, bro's kicking me off, batteries dying, etc. I'll contact you when I'm brought back to life! (aka we get a new router)

Yes. Yes, I am.

I've got lots of studying to do. And ISP's to start and finish. And next week I've got exams.

Don't expect much activity from me, here or MSN. If I can allow it, I will go through my inbox. But you don't have to comment on this, I just wanted to give you guys a heads up. Help my cause! Don't do ANYTHING! 8D

The only good thing about all this is my birthday's next Wednesday~ Woo.

Well that was fail. I wrote the title and submitted with nothing in it :XD: Sorry.

Haha, Battler. You are awesome ;3 (scroll down to when I talk about a new anime I'm into 8D)

Well, I've gone through my first week of school back, and... eh, can't complain, really. There are the goods and the bads, so both balance each other out. :aww:

Remember on my cons list of 2009, how I said my religion teacher doesn't know what she's teaching me and that the class is sort of a bore? Well, Monday, even with the teacher gone, I was happy to find Hinduism and Buddhism were on the list! Now lemme tell you some honest points of mine... not only do I find those two religions the most interesting, but I find them the most preferable. When have you ever heard some pointless conflict that involved them? The real fighting concerning religions always seem to start with either Christianity, Islam, or Judaism, all monotheistic doctrines and dogmas and so forth.

Don't get me wrong, monotheism is just a way of looking at life; I believe in one God, the Trinity, or at least one supernatural thing that's greater than man, greater than anything we can comprehend. But it's the PEOPLE! Religious fanatics make it a part of their duty to beat down on people that don't want to have to rely on something they can't see or believe in. Those people have a choice, and if they don't want to, they shouldn't. And conflicts that regard to criticizing another's way of worshiping the same god is bull.

Back to Hinduism and Buddhism, that's exactly what I like about them; they don't force their religion on others, and they don't criticize. It's all depending on the individual. And all they're really looking for in life is transcendence; inner peace, peace with themselves, and freedom from the human condition. And they'll do that through living peaceful lives.

BUT BUT BUT. I shouldn't have a religious debate. This is a journal on an art site, so I'll describe the artistic benefits of my love of different religions.

Yesterday I had started and finished a picture of Kali, one of the three faces of Shiva's wife, and I have to say, it came out pretty kickass for something non-anime. I hope to colour it sometime soon. Different gods that mean different things to Hindus inspire me. With Buddhism, it has a history of Hinduism in there, so I believe there's something inspiring with the story of the first Buddha, Gautama, and I hope to draw that sometime too. I'll probably draw something in the future that might depict stories in Christianity, Judaism and Islam, but, you know, there are those religious trolls that would probably chew my butt. WHO AM I KIDDING, I shouldn't generalize... sorry.

~~~Here's the finished picture ^^ [link]
HELLLO. That's a long section on religion. Now onto something else...
Thursday I visited the University with my Chemistry class and I did my Culminating Activity in their labs. But we pretty much failed that... the solution didn't turn green at first, and we kept adding til it did, and our mass was much more larger than it should have been. Apparently that matters, so that's going to dock marks... the project is worth~~~~ 20% of my mark I believe. Anyway, then we had a demonstration of liquid nitrogen (that stuff DANCES, man!! 8D) and dry ice, and after that we went to watch a scientific glass-blower make things. I won a small duck figurine in the draw, and although the colours are funky, I love its charm.
Seeing my friends was wonderful. :3 It was great hanging out with them, the fun, the sadness, the laughter. You can't have life without certain things ^^ Some of us hung out this weekend to watch a movie, and that was epic. And dear *Precious-Destiny introduced me to a wonderful anime called "Umineko no naku koro ni", When the Seagulls Cry. :iconimhappyplz: Bloody murder mystery with witches galore, woo! I'm on episode 21, and I started yesterday~ Couldn't stop watching til now, since I have somethings to do. Can't wait to finish it and wait for season two X3
By the way, why the hell hasn't the next FMA: Brotherhood episode come out?? :c
Also, finished The Lovely Bones. Awesome, awesome, awesome. :heart: I can't wait til the movie comes out on the 15th.
Haha, well thanks for reading thus far. I'll shut up now X3 Much love!
P.S. I'm turning 17 on the 27th 8D Yippee!
P.P.S ~HikitsuriOokami is in need of money and is opening commissions. Spreading the word ;3
